Belgorod State Medical University

The Belgorod State University was founded in 1876 in Belgorod, west of the Volga River. It has undergone several transformations before becoming a leading university in the field of medical education.

With an extensive academic structure of 20 faculties and one institute, Belgorod State University provides the best education to over 30000 students. There are numerous bachelor’s and master’s programs available at the university in English. The university has excellent teaching methodologies, well-equipped teaching laboratories and an impressive educational curriculum.

The Medical College at Belgorod State University was ranked among the top 10 medical colleges in Russia. Currently, the university is an international socio-cultural centre. More than 3000 students from various countries are accommodated in four dormitories on the campus. Students from abroad live in comfortable dormitories and have access to chess clubs, dance and fitness centres, and student cafes. According to the rating, Belgorod State National Research University ranked 30th out of 103 Russian state universities and approximately 500 branches.

As part of a group of 15 prominent Russian universities, Belgorod State University was granted Research University status in April 2010. Due to the newly created status, special conditions are created for the development of the project. As a result of the victory in the competition, Belgorod State University has been acknowledged at the federal level as being capable of providing effective technology transfer to the Russian economy in addition to putting into practice the two-level system of training personnel for high-tech and applied research. Generally, the academic year begins on September 1st and ends on June 30th. Semesters are divided into autumn and spring terms.
