Voronezh State Medical University
n Russia, Voronezh State Medical University is considered to be one of the most prestigious and classical universities.
Emperor Alexander I opened the university in 1802, and in 1918 the university was shifted to Voronezh in accordance with the decision of the Big State Commission.
After the university’s medical faculty became independent in 1930, the institute became a separate entity.
More than 40 thousand medical specialists have been trained at the university since it was established, representing more than 56 different countries including Asia, Europe, and Africa.
Voronezh State Medical University offers the following programs for international students: General Medicine, Paediatrics, Dentistry, and Pharmacy. Approximately 1500 specialists from 28 countries have been educated at this university. As part of this program, 875 foreign students are earning their MD degree. The Academy’s Preparatory Department has graduated 143 students; 614 students have received MD Diplomas and 206 have been certified as pharmacists. The number of residency course graduates is 84, and there are 14 postgraduate students defending their PhD theses.
